OTUS PROJECT: DOCUMENTARY SERIES
Observations of Tornadoes by UAV Systems
An independent, bootstrapped crew—aerospace engineer, champion FPV drone pilot, rising meteorologist, and veteran storm chaser—attempts the most dangerous mission in weather science: a zero-meter intercept. Flying a 220 mph custom 3D-printed drone straight into a tornado, they aim to capture never-before-seen data that could revolutionize forecasts, strengthen building codes, and save countless lives.

WHAT
The OTUS Project is a groundbreaking nonprofit mission using advanced drone tech to capture unprecedented thermodynamic data around tornadoes and the first-ever vertical wind speed measurements inside the core. Paradeigm Originals is documenting their 2025–2026 effort to fly directly into storms.
WHY
This campaign powers the OTUS Project’s groundbreaking tornado research using advanced drone technology. Your support helps capture unprecedented real-time data to improve early warnings and strengthen buildings. Together, we can save lives and protect communities from future disasters. It also fuels a global documentary to raise awareness and inspire action through powerful storytelling.

OTUS Project Collects Critical Surface Wind Data Inside Of Tornadoes
By Jim Clash
“And a detailed report on the OTUS thermodynamics data gathered this year, which, in addition to surface wind speeds, includes temperature, pressure and relative humidity, is now being finalized. Hopefully, the report, due out this summer, and next year’s documentary will help attract more private and public funding, says Tucker.”
”As such, we’re going to keep an eye on Tucker and his crew, perhaps even chase with them for an immersive experience. So stay tuned. This is Part 1 of a multi-part series.”
